DinkUp ("we", "our", "the App") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your personal information.

2.1 Information You Provide

  • →Account information — name, email address, password
  • →Profile information — city, skill rating, DUPR rating, profile photo
  • →Content — messages, photos sent in chat, community map pins, game listings

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

  • →Location data — approximate GPS location (used to find nearby courts and players). Only collected when you actively use location features.
  • →Device information — device type, operating system version, app version
  • →Usage data — screens visited, features used, in-app actions

2.3 Information from Third Parties

  • →Firebase Authentication — handles secure sign-in
  • →Google Maps — court discovery and location search
  • →RevenueCat — subscription status and purchase history
  • →Apple App Store / Google Play — payment processing (we do not see your payment card details)

3. How We Use Your Data

We use your data to:

  • →Provide and operate the App
  • →Enable you to find courts, create games, and connect with other players
  • →Show you nearby courts and available players based on your location
  • →Display your profile and stats on leaderboards
  • →Send you notifications about games and messages
  • →Process and manage your subscription
  • →Improve the App and fix bugs
  • →Detect and prevent fraud or abuse

4. How We Share Your Data

We do not sell your personal data.

We may share data with:

  • →Other users — your name, initials, city, rating, profile photo, and availability status are visible to other players within the App as part of its core functionality
  • →Service providers — Firebase, Google Maps, RevenueCat, and Apple/Google for the purposes described above
  • →Legal obligations — if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of users

5. Location Data

  • →Location is only accessed when you use location-based features (finding courts, setting availability)
  • →We do not track your location in the background
  • →You can deny location permission at any time in your device settings — some features will be limited as a result

6. Photos & Media

  • →Profile photos are stored securely on Firebase Storage
  • →Photos sent in chat are stored on Firebase Storage
  • →We do not use your photos for any purpose other than displaying them within the App

7. Data Retention

  • →Your account data is retained as long as your account is active
  • →If you delete your account, your personal data will be deleted within 30 days
  • →Some data may be retained longer if required by law

8. Children's Privacy

DinkUp is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

9. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • →Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • →Correction — request that we correct inaccurate data
  • →Deletion — request that we delete your account and data
  • →Portability — receive your data in a portable format
  • →Objection — object to certain types of data processing

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including:

No system is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your data.
